Born at 10:05 last night, here he is at 12 hours old!

This doe-eyed beast is about to calve. I've been getting up once a night to check on her. It's her first calf. And mine. Oh dear.

CJ Gets a Holiday

I rode Peter out on the sleigh trail the other day and the snow crust is still a problem. Peter crashed through every second step. (Amazingly, the crust actually held him up some of the time!) So I won't be putting CJ through that with the sleigh. This may be it for sleighing this winter. I'll have to start getting the wheeled cart ready for spring.
